Getting A Breast Pump Through TriCare Insurance
We strive to offer amazing service to the families who have dedicated their lives to serving our country. This means guiding each mom through the TriCare process thoroughly, providing specific forms if needed, and following up with doctors and midwives if clarification or corrections are required. Most Tricare policies will even allow the mom to select a βdeluxe upgradeβ if she desires something outside of standard coverage. If you qualify for a deluxe upgrade, you will be given a list of those options when itβs time to select your pump. Many breast pump companies out there will limit options to βstandard onlyβ however we feel that having more choices is better! Thatβs the PMSI difference.

When can I order a breast pump? Each insurance provider determines when a mom can receive her pump, though customarily it's universally covered up to one year postpartum. You may apply for a pump at any time during your pregnancy and we will supply the pump according to your provider's specifications. For example, Kaiser Permanente of WA allows a mom to receive her pump up to 30 days prior to expected delivery date.

-
According to the ACA, all insurance plans are required to cover a breast pump however there are still policies out there that are exceptions to the rule. We'll do our best to help determine your coverage based on our vast history with many policies.

Our team is always here to help, however we always recommend contacting the manufacturer immediately. All pump manufacturers require replacements and repairs to go directly through them due to the fact that these are registered medical devices.
